Clinical Teaching

• We offer two strategies to get certified. If you have the financial resources to work as an unpaid student teacher for a semester, clinical teaching is a way to quickly get into the classroom.

  Another Strategy to Get Your Certification

  With Clinical Teaching, you don't have to get hired. Rather, we place you in a fully certified teacher's classroom. You will observe, assist, and eventually teach in a guided and structured program where you earn your full certificate at the end of the semester.

  Clinical Teaching provides great networking opportunities with school personnel while gaining your full certification in an accelerated timeline.

• One Company, Multiple Opportunities

  At Texas Teachers, we want you to have every chance possible to get hired and start your teaching career. Be sure to discuss with a Texas Teachers Advisor specific strategies that will help you become eligible and competitive for teaching quickly.

• Cost

  The total program cost is the same as the probationary route, with two specific payment options:

  • Pay half the balance at the beginning of the semester and the other half midway through the semester; or
  • Pay all at the beginning of the semester and receive $100 off the total program amount.

  Keep in mind, that in contrast to the probationary route, this method requires that you work 12 weeks as an unpaid student teacher while paying back the program cost through one of the methods above.
