Elementary School Chart #1 

As you walk in

·        Drop In/Pick-up bucket

-  Make-up work

       -  Homework

       -  Graded work

Bell work(until teacher starts class)

Dismissal

·        Do not pack up or leave until dismissed by teacher

 

Elementary School Chart #2 

Two bins

·        1 for turning in assignments

·        1 for new assignments

Bell activity

·        Use as a review of previous class

·        Use as a preview of new lesson

Provide a schedule of the week’s lessons/activities

Elementary School Chart #3

Walking in the hallway

·        Stand on a number

·        Put your right hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you

·        Puff your cheeks

Lunch time

·        Find a seat

·        Wait to be served and eat

·        When done, throw away trash & line up against the wall to wait

for others

·        Follow walk in hallway procedures

Bathroom

·        Raise you hand

·        Make sign for restroom in sign language

·        Get restroom pass from teacher

 

Elementary School Chart #4

Entering the classroom

·        Walk in quietly

·        Put belongings in assigned cubbies

·        Go to assigned seat & begin warm-up

Leaving the classroom

·        Put everything away

·        Put your heads down on your desk

·        Students/groups called to line-up

Walking through the hallway

·        Form a straight line before going anywhere

·        Have stop points to get back into formation

·        Walk w/your hands at your side

Dismissal

·        Put away class materials

·        Check homework folder

·        Gather belongings

·        Go to assigned area

 

Elementary School Chart #6

Line behavior(outside classroom) “Gimme 5 and I’ll give you 5!!”

·        Hands folder together

·        Eyes facing forward

·        Follow the leader

·        Talking ONLY in a WHISPER!

·        Look & listen for teacher to give directions

When we arrive at our destination

·        Teacher gives every child a “high-five”

·        Whispers praises to all kids!!!

Procedure #1:  Turn in homework as students enter classroom

Procedure #2:  Compete Daily Journal assignment on board &

                          turn-in

Procedure #3:  Have proper behavior when a visitor enters the

                          classroom

·        Silently point to the pass/sign on wall

·        Get “Thumbs UP” from teacher

When walking in the hallways, there should be no talking or touching

  the walls(students)

When entering the classroom, students should

·        Un-pack

·        Place homework in BOX

·        Sit quietly

·        Begin work

Lunch count will be done before morning announcements

 

                         MIDDLE SCHOOLS:

 

Middle School Chart #1

Arrival at class

·        Allow enough time to turn in homework

·        Pick-up graded work

·        Pick-up make-up work

·        Be in assigned seat before the bell

Begin board work(with proper heading)

 

Establish signal to request a restroom visit

·        Have student sign in & out(including time)

·        Take the boy/girl pass

 

Middle School Chart #2

Hand in homework

·        Walk in

·        Place your homework inside marked box

·        Sit down and do the board activity

When visitor comes into the classroom

·        The visitor is invisible to the class, not to the teacher

·        Students continue their work, but no talking

·        Teacher will address the visitor

Class dismissal

·        The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell, not the clock

·        Students remain sitting and quiet

Middle School Chart #3

Entering the class

·        Be seated before the bell rings

Bell work/Focus activity

·        Must begin within one minute of bell ringing

Turn in class papers after class is dismissed

Turning in homework

·        Turn in homework as you enter the room

·        Place in appropriate box/carton

 

Middle School Chart #4

Entering class

·        Enter room quietly & orderly

·        Be in assigned seat when the bell rings

·        Take out needed class materials

·        Begin bell work

Turning in homework

·        Ensure that name, date & assigned student number(alphabetical)

     are on the top, right-hand corner of paper

·        At the teacher’s signal, pass all papers to the left

·        Have assigned student collect papers & place in the “Completed” box

 

Middle School Chart #5

Entering classroom procedures

·        Sit in your seat quietly

·        Do your warm-up

Turning in homework

·        Turn in your homework to teacher at the end of the period or

on the way out

Entering the class

·        Come prepared & be prepared to stay in class

·        Sit in assigned seat and begin WARM-UP

·        Remain in assigned seat until told otherwise

Asking questions

·        Raise hand

·        Sit quietly & wait to be called on

Coming to attention

·        When teacher gives signal(raised hand), silently FREEZE, TURN & FACE TEACHER, PAY ATTENTION

 

 

 

 

                              HIGH SCHOOLS:

 

High School Chart #1 

Be in your assigned seat before the bell rings

Start working on the assignment written on the board when you

  get to your seat

If you are the assigned student, take roll

If you are tardy, take your seat quietly and start working on the

  assignment

Before you leave, notify the teacher that you arrived late

 

High School Chart #2

Each class check warm-up folder for 10-minute warm-up

Turn in warm-up and begin daily activity

Discuss questions concerning daily activity

High School Chart #3

Entering the classroom

·        Begin “Bell work” before the bell rings

·        When the bell rings, teacher takes roll as the class works

·        Students turn-in completed “Bell work” to teacher’s in-box

Dismissal from class

·        Students do not move when the bell rings

·        The teacher finishes what (s)he was saying and reminds students of

homework assignment or the next day’s activities

·        Students are then released by teacher to exit in orderly manner

 

High School Chart #4

As each student enters class, go to your assigned seat

Compete the assigned daily warm-up activity while the attendance

  is being taken

Turn in warm-up activity from left to right and wait further

  instructions

Wait until teacher dismisses class after the bell rings

You are responsible for missed work

·        See folder for make-up work

·        Ask “Study Buddy” for instructions

·        Turn in make-up work the next day

 

High School Chart #5

Entering class

·        Take your seat

·        Turn in homework

·        Start assignment on board

Class dismissal when bell rings

·        Finish work

·        Clear desk

·        Wait for teacher dismissal

·        Walk to exit(door)

High School Chart #6

Beginning of class

·        When entering class. look at handout table for any handout

needed for class

·        Grab any handout & go to your assigned seat

·        Get out any materials you need for class

·        Look at board for warm-up problem

·        Start warm-up problem while waiting for teacher to begin class

Missed/Absent from class

·        If you are absent, please go to the wall w/the make-up work

folders for your period

·        Take your make-up work assignments

·        If you have questions about the assignment, ask a “Buddy” first before/after class, then ask the teacher if you still have questions

·        When make-up is completed, please place it in the “Make-up” work

High School Chart  #7

Entering class

·        Enter room

·        Find seat

·        Begin warm-up activity (5-10 min.)

-  Pass warm-up forward to box

Classroom dismissal

·        Clean up area

·        Reminders

·        Teacher dismissal
