New Federal Funds for Texas Schools: Budget Improves Every Day

In addition to the increased revenue estimates by the State Comptroller and the promise to put that money into schools for hiring teachers, Texas has just received another shot in the arm with $830 million dollars in federal funds to help close the school budget gap. These funds are available immediately and will be spent this summer to help districts hire new teachers.

Things are looking much better and the state should have enough funds to sufficiently staff Texas classrooms.
