Study: I used the state guide only and studied for about two weeks. I found this site, http://www.passthetexes.com/sample-books/TExES-ESL-Sample.pdf. It helped as well.
Test: The test was situational, so you just have to read. It was not very hard.
Study: The Ultimate Guide to the Generalist EC - 4.
Test: It was about what I expected. I'd advise someone who was about to take the test to read the test carefully and read each answer choice carefully.
Study: Used official test reviews and textbooks like "Reading in the Central Area"
Test: Take your time and read the questions carefully.
